Draw 9:30 Fishing 11:00 to 17:00.
Weather 15 degrees 11 mph north-westerly winds.
With a club match on Campbell the open was on Cary which is home to lots of double figure Carp the aim is to catch 3 of them a hour this should see you frame.
Drew peg 94 which is a corner peg which can be feast or famine so a hedge my bet and set up silver rigs and Carp rigs.
Had a good first hour catching 5 Carp chucking with the wind to the pallet on peg 92 for 45lb then 3 more in the next hour for 60lb.
Then the second net syndrome kick in and I didn’t have a Carp in the 3rd hour only catching a Skimmer on the 5 metre meat line and being busted by a Carp. Why did I go in on my Silver rig!!!
The 4th hour I broke the net syndrome with a lead caught Carp and a 20 pounder Common Carp on the 5 metre meat line.
5th and 6th hour had Carp from Margin, 5 metre and lead landing one on the whistle to win with 132lb 8oz.
It’s been ages since a win and qualifying for the all winner final as well.
