Avon Angling Float Only 2013

AVON ANGLING FLOAT ONLY SERIES.

ROUND 1 .VIADUCT FISHERY, 19-05-13.

Peg  114 Campbell.

Draw 10:00 Fishing 11:30 to 17:30.

Weather: - Sunny, 14 degrees, 3mph Northwesterly winds.

The last couple of years I have frame in this series of matches with 40 people again fishing so the same as last year 8 section of 5 there is 6 matches in the series you are allowed to drop your worst result so 20 point should see you picking up money at the end.

Today I drew peg 114 on Campbell with an empty peg 113 the section ran from 110 to 115. This would be the first bagging match of the year and it showed I felt rusty and completely out of touch with the venue.

I had lots fish in front of me and could get indication on all the lines that were feed most fish hook were not in the mouth, foul hooking was a big problem.

In hindsight, I should have fished shallow with pellets but hindsight a wonderful thing I had 4 on it but should have stuck at in.

Weighed 76lb putting me second in the section.

The match was won by Craig Edmonds he unstoppable at the moment next year I try and fit in a practice Match before the first round because I felt so far of the pace.
