Draw 9:30 Fishing 11:00 to 17:00.
Weather Sunny 15 degrees 8 mph Westerly winds.
Round 3 with two poor results previously, it was all out for Match wins as a chance of an overall result is out the question unless a major accident takes out half the field.
Went for the last peg in the coffee tin and handed Peg 59 in the same section as the previous Matches but the better end of the section.
Base my Match a round the Skimmer population with 2 lines fed from the start one with ground bait @ 16 metres and the other at 13 metres against the aerator rope with Chop worm and Caster. Later this line was converted to ground Bait as all the worm produce were tiny bottle top Skimmers but this didn’t improve anything just more frequent bites from Smaller Fish!!
The main amount of my catch came in the first hour and a half of skimmer @ 16 metres after this time bites from the larger samples stopped leaving just small samples.
Half way through, I give it another big hit of ground bait but this made no impact on the size of the fish.
The Waggler fished further out might have help if I set one up.
18lb 12oz put me last but one in the section again Vince Brown won the section from 64 the only good thing was the peg I had in the previous rounds 66 was last. Lodge Lake was the most consistant lake with 3 of the top 4 coming from the other section. Well done Tony 2 wins on the trott.
